Melissa is a 1998 graduate of Ohio State University with a degree in Landscape Horticulture and Crop Science. Early in her career, she worked for an organic garden center in Austin, Tx, a perennials grower in Seattle, WA and with a tropical nursery in Fort Myers, FL. Coming back to Ohio in 2005, she has worked for arboretums, landscapers and garden centers to help round out her areas of plant knowledge. Melissa is a lover of all things green but has a special appreciation for vegetable gardens and the joy you feel growing your own food as well as anything in the garden that benefits birds, butterflies and bees! Her love of wild birds developed from the special bond she had with her father, an avid bird enthusiast. Outside of work, she enjoys kayaking, camping, birding and hanging out with her three rambunctious dogs!

Jamie’s knowledge of the ‘green” industry is a tremendous asset to our company. She is responsible for searching high and low for the best possible annuals and perennials available. In 1999 she started working for a large, family-owned and operated greenhouse where she would meet and marry her future husband. Jamie would play a key role in the family’s business for over 20 years, until the retirement of her father-in-law. During these years, she worked closely with the growers, gaining valuable knowledge in annuals, perennials, vegetables, and seasonal flowers. Jamie is happily married and a mother of 2. Her hobbies include planting low-maintenance gardens and container gardening. She enjoys being outdoors with her family, visiting zoos and camping.
